- 36 Oreo cookies regular, with filling
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 12 ounces green candy melts
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional
- Green gel food coloring optional, as needed
- Red heart sprinkles for decorating
- Optional: white chocolate to lighten green coating
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add Oreo cookies to a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs.
Add softened cream cheese (and vanilla extract if using). Process until a thick, dough-like mixture forms.
Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes, until firm.
Melt green candy melts according to package directions, heating gently and stirring until smooth. Add gel food coloring if needed.
Dip each chilled truffle into the melted coating, letting excess drip off.
Place truffles back on parchment and immediately press a red heart sprinkle on top.
Let truffles set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until firm.
-
Chilling is essential before dipping to prevent truffles from falling apart.
-
Use gel food coloring only—liquid coloring can cause candy melts to seize.
-
If coating is too thick, stir in a small amount of melted white chocolate.
-
Store truffles chilled for best texture and appearance.
