Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies regular, with filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 12 ounces green candy melts
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • Green gel food coloring optional, as needed
  • Red heart sprinkles for decorating
  • Optional: white chocolate to lighten green coating

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add Oreo cookies to a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs.
  • Add softened cream cheese (and vanilla extract if using). Process until a thick, dough-like mixture forms.
  • Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes, until firm.
  • Melt green candy melts according to package directions, heating gently and stirring until smooth. Add gel food coloring if needed.
  • Dip each chilled truffle into the melted coating, letting excess drip off.
  • Place truffles back on parchment and immediately press a red heart sprinkle on top.
  • Let truffles set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until firm.

Notes

  • Chilling is essential before dipping to prevent truffles from falling apart.
  • Use gel food coloring only—liquid coloring can cause candy melts to seize.
  • If coating is too thick, stir in a small amount of melted white chocolate.
  • Store truffles chilled for best texture and appearance.
