- Main Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough store-bought or homemade
- 20 –24 pepperoni slices
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese shredded or thinly sliced
- Flavor Base
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder optional
- Pantry Staples
- 1 tbsp olive oil for greasing
- All-purpose flour for rolling
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional, for topping
Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin with olive oil.
Roll pizza dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle about ¼-inch thick.
Cut dough into long strips about 2 inches wide.
Assemble & Bake
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce down the center of each strip.
Sprinkle with mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder if using.
Place pepperoni slices along one edge, slightly overlapping, with half hanging over the edge.
Fold the bottom half of the dough strip up over the filling.
Roll tightly from one end to form a rose shape.
Place each rose into a greased muffin cup.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
Texture Check
Roses are done when dough is cooked through and tops are lightly browned.
If browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil for final minutes.
Finish
Cool in the pan 5 minutes, then remove. Sprinkle with Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
-
Don’t overfill—less sauce and cheese make rolling easier.
