- 1 large bunch fresh kale curly or lacinato
- 1 –2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt or to taste
- Optional Seasonings
- Garlic powder
- Paprika or chili powder
- Onion powder
- Nutritional yeast
Preheat oven: Preheat to 300°F (150°C). Line one or two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Prep kale: Wash kale thoroughly and dry completely. Remove thick stems and tear leaves into bite-sized pieces.
Season: Place kale in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Massage gently until evenly coated.
Arrange: Spread kale in a single layer on baking sheets without overlapping.
Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crisp and dry.
Cool: Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes to crisp further.
