Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or thawed from frozen
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 large egg Beaten
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Panko preferred for extra crunch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch.
  • In another bowl, whisk the egg.

Coating the Shrimp

  • Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure an even layer of breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Arrange the coated shrimp in a single layer in the fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.

Making the Bang Bang Sauce

  • Combine the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and lime juice in a bowl and adjust according to your spice preference.

Serving

  • Once the shrimp are done, toss them in the Bang Bang sauce or serve it on the side for dipping.

Notes

For best results, use fresh shrimp and avoid overcrowding in the air fryer. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the air fryer for crispiness.
