Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef Choose lean for a healthier option
  • 2 cups Elbow macaroni Or any pasta shape you love
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded The star of the dish
  • 2 cups Milk Whole milk works best for creaminess
  • 1 cup Beef broth Use low-sodium if preferred
  • 1 Yellow onion, diced For depth of flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder A must for essence
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For a hint of smokiness
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add the diced onion to the cooked beef. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it cook for another minute to absorb the flavors.
  • Pour in the elbow macaroni, beef broth, and milk. Stir everything together until well combined.
  • Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Make sure to stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, remove the skillet from heat. Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it completely melts and becomes creamy.
  • Your delicious Homemade Hamburger Helper Cheeseburger Macaroni is ready! Serve it warm and watch as it disappears from your table.

Notes

For added flavor, mix different types of cheese like Monterey Jack or Gouda. You can also add frozen peas or diced bell peppers for nutrition.
