Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz chow mein noodles Cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For stir-frying
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, snap peas) Feel free to customize depending on preference
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Adjust based on taste
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by cooking the chow mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain them and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, but don’t let them brown.
  • Toss in the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, keeping them vibrant and slightly tender.
  • Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the pan along with soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly to combine and allow the noodles to soak in the flavors.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure even stir-frying. Customize the vegetable ingredients according to your taste preferences. Chow mein stores well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
