  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or plant-based crumbles.
  • 1 can 15 ounces corn, drained Sweet corn is preferred.
  • 1 can 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup Cream of chicken soup can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use a Mexican blend cheese.
  • 1 package 32 ounces frozen tater tots Ensure they cover the top completely.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  • In the same skillet, stir in the corn, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beef mixture.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the cheese, covering the surface completely.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Scoop it onto plates and dig in!

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in diced jalapeños or your favorite hot sauce. This dish pairs well with cornbread and a green salad.
