  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest or 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • Olive oil optional (for brushing cucumbers)

Instructions

  • Wash and dry cucumbers thoroughly.
  • Slice cucumbers into ½-inch thick rounds and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Spread or pipe a small amount of softened cream cheese onto each cucumber slice.
  • Fold smoked salmon into small ribbons and place on top of the cream cheese.
  • Sprinkle with fresh dill and a light pinch of black pepper.
  • Finish with lemon zest or a tiny squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Chill 10–15 minutes before serving for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Pat cucumbers dry to prevent watery bites.
  • Use thick cucumber slices for stability.
  • Avoid over-seasoning—smoked salmon is naturally salty.
