- * 1 lb Korean rice cakes tteok
- * 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- * 2 cups water or anchovy broth
- * 2 tablespoons gochujang
- * 1 tablespoon gochugaru optional
- * 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- * 1 tablespoon sugar
- * 2 cloves garlic minced
- * 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- * Optional: green onions boiled eggs, fish cakes
Soak rice cakes in warm water if using frozen.
In a pan, bring water or broth to a gentle boil.
Add gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and gochugaru.
Stir until the sauce is smooth.
Add rice cakes and simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Cook until sauce thickens and coats the rice cakes.
