  • 1/2 teaspoon Clove Powder

  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, almonds, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and salt. Toss until evenly distributed.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, applesauce, maple syrup, and brown sugar until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until all oats and nuts are coated.
  • Gently fold in the diced apple, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the granola mixture evenly.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • Once golden brown, remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet.
  • Transfer the cooled granola into an airtight container and store at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Notes

Don’t skimp on spices for that authentic apple pie flavor. Adjust sweetness using the maple syrup or brown sugar as needed.
