Ingredients
  

For the Coffee

  • 1 cup brewed coffee (hot or cold, as per preference) Choose a strong brew for best results.

For the Caramel Sauce

  • 1 cup granulated sugar Monitor closely while melting to avoid burning.
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter Adds richness to the caramel.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Careful, it will bubble when mixed in.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the flavor of the caramel.

For Assembly

  • Ice cubes Ice cubes Use as needed for serving.
  • to taste cup milk (dairy or non-dairy based on preference) Adjust for desired creaminess.

Instructions
 

Make the Caramel Sauce

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, pour the granulated sugar and heat without stirring until melted into a deep amber liquid, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once melted, quickly whisk in the butter until fully incorporated.
  • Carefully add the heavy cream and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract. Let it cool.

Brew Coffee

  • Brew your coffee. For a chilled drink, brew it a few hours ahead or use cold brew.

Assemble Your Drink

  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the brewed coffee over the ice.
  • Add milk to your desired creaminess and stir well.
  • Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of caramel sauce over the top, swirling gently to mix.

Finish It Off (Optional)

  • Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of additional caramel sauce for a decadent finish.
