Ingredients
  

Peach Puree

  • 3 large ripe peaches Fresh, in-season peaches yield the best flavor.
  • 2 cups water For blending the peaches into a puree.

Tea Base

  • 4 cups boiling water For steeping the tea.
  • 3-4 bags black tea Adjust based on desired strength.
  • cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to preference.
  • 1 tbsp monk fruit sweetener Optional for a healthier alternative.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Peach Puree

  • Wash the ripe peaches, and optionally remove the skins for a smoother texture.
  • Slice the peaches and place them in a blender.
  • Add 2 cups of water to the blender and blend until smooth.
  • Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve if desired for a clearer tea.

Brew the Tea

  • Boil 4 cups of water in a pot.
  • Remove from heat and add in the black tea bags.
  • Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes based on desired strength.
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in the granulated sugar while warm to dissolve completely.

Combine and Chill

  • In a large pitcher, combine the brewed tea with the peach puree and stir well.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary, adding monk fruit sweetener if desired.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours until chilled.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Pour the peach iced tea into glasses filled with ice and garnish with peach slices or a sprig of mint.
  • Sip slowly and savor the refreshing taste of summer!

Notes

Store any leftovers in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for 3-5 days, but stir before serving as the fruit puree may settle.
