Ingredients
  

Sauce and Meatballs

  • 1 jar 24 oz jar of marinara sauce or your favorite pasta sauce
  • 2 cups cooked meatballs, sliced in half homemade or store-bought

Casserole Components

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough like Pillsbury
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Garnish

  • Fresh basil or parsley optional for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  • Pour half of the marinara sauce into the bottom of the prepared dish. Layer the sliced meatballs on top, then add the remaining marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle about 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese over the meatball and sauce mixture.
  • Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Toss the biscuit pieces with Italian seasoning.
  • Arrange the biscuit pieces over the cheese layer.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the biscuits.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, let it cool slightly and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

For best flavor, use high-quality meatballs. Customize with your favorite sub toppings.
