Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb white American cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes optional
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños optional
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • to taste Salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering and preparing your ingredients. If using optional diced tomatoes and jalapeños, chop those up in advance.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, add the white American cheese and pour in the milk. Stir consistently until the cheese is melted and creamy.
  • Once the cheese has melted, stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt. If you’re adding tomatoes and jalapeños, now is the time!
  • If the dip is too thick, add a bit more milk until you reach your desired consistency, keeping stirring to combine thoroughly.
  • Transfer your dip to a serving bowl and enjoy while it’s warm. Pair it with chips, fresh veggies, or your favorite Mexican dishes.

Notes

For an even creamier dip, try mixing in a bit of cream cheese or sour cream. Adjust the jalapeño quantity to match your spice preference or experiment with other peppers for different flavors.
