  • 1 cup butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Spoon and level to avoid excess.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup strawberry puree or strawberry jam For best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) Add for extra flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, and beat until creamy.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the strawberry puree or jam and optionally add the chocolate chips.
  • Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dollops of cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
