- Strawberry Filling
- 4 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Cobbler Topping
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon optional
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup butter melted
Preheat oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
Prepare strawberries: Add strawberries to the baking dish. Toss with sugar and lemon juice. Spread evenly.
Make batter: In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
Assemble: Pour batter evenly over the strawberries. Do not stir.
Bake: Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Rest: Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.
